Mexico, A Corrupting Influence

By Michael Opitz

Mexico has vast natural resources, but we know the government is corrupt. Even though Mexico has vast natural resources and excellent trade deals with the United States, they cannot provide an economy for employment for their people. Mexico’s educational system is extraordinarily ineffective. Approximately 60 wealthy families rule Mexico, and they are helping transform Mexico by exporting their poor indigenous peoples to the U.S. Some would call that ethnic cleansing and the United States may be complicit.

If Cuba were illegally exporting their people and violating our national borders, we would consider it a challenge to our national security, as well as a potential act of war. Why are America’s politicians ignoring the corruption in Mexico when that corruption is a clear danger to our national security? The Drug lords in Mexico controls many of the Mexico national and local politicians, and the Mexican army regularly makes military incursions into the United States. Our politicians do nothing.

Is Mexican drug money being used to buy the votes our politicians to make it easy for drugs and illegals to enter the country? The Mexican element has have imported their gangs into virtually cities in the United States. The current amnesty bill, which is not yet dead, would then grant these gang members legal status. Many of our U.S. Senators voted to keep that provision in the bill which would allow these illegal gang members to stay in the U.S. if they signed a paper stating they would no longer participate in gang activity. What reasonable person would believe and support that provision without a payoff? Corruption is rampart in Mexico and seems to have spread to our highest levels of government. This has gone far beyond politics. We need an investigation to follow the money trail.

People smuggling and drug smuggling is what the Mexican Mafia does best. We are told that the money the Mexican laborers in this country send money back home to their families. If you think about it, many of the Mexicans illegals pay the “coyotes” to smuggle them into the US. Where do these poor people get the $2,000.00 to risk payment to the “coyote” who really is a low-level member of the Mexican Mafia? How much of the money sent back to Mexico goes to the local drug lord/human smuggler to finance other illegal activities?

We need to look beyond the surface level arguments by the politicians and media, so they do not control the debate and discussion. We need serious thinkers to look at the dynamics lurking in the shadows. The magician understands that distraction and redirecting the focus are the keys to fooling the audience. Our politicians have become that magician, and we are that audience. Call a Senator you trust and ask for an investigation and open hearings on this issue.
